Multivision originates from the now largely obsolete practice and business of using 35 mm slides (diapositives) projected by single or multiple slide projectors onto one or more screens in synchronization with an audio voice-over and/or soundtrack. Multivision productions (shows) are also known as multi-image slide presentations, slide shows and diaporamas and are a specific form of multimedia or audio-visual production (AV).
Multivision shows are created to primarily tell a story, for large-screen presentation or permanent installations such as museums, visitor centres, cultural events and trade shows. Artists, whether amateur or professional, use this art form to create work of a more personal nature and it is with this in mind that Lana Lights festival will include two screenings of work.
These will take place in the Raiffeisenhaus | Casa Raiffeisen - Via Andreas-Hofer 9, 39011 Lana (BZ)
Free Entrance (voluntary donations will been given to Meningitus Research)
Friday 24th April 20.15 (c.60 min.)
Following the inauguration of the festival, the first session of multivision shows will be presenting work by members of AIDAMA the Italian Association of Artistic Multivision Authors.
Saturday 25th April 14,30 (c.60 min.)
Let Loose - This includes work from professional artists who are at the cutting edge of design, technology and produce work for the love of it, even without a client. They may be cinematographers, time-lapse photographers, graphic designers, directors, writers, musicians or a mix of these but they are all storytellers and have at least one thing in common - how to use light. Be sure to see this session where talent has been let loose.
