This piece of work speaks for itself.

Made entirely in Final Cut Pro. Music written by Simon Jeffes and originally performed by Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

I'm a shy, awkward guy. I was dropped in the middle of the wintry Italian alps of Friuli Venezia Giulia, left to wander and experience whatever lay ahead. I met stranger after stranger who greeted me with a glass of wine and open arms; smiles as big as the mountains we conquered. They took me on a journey I will never forget. The interest they had in making sure I got out of my shell and had the experience of my life is so unheard of. In such a short period of time these strangers became family, untangling my shy soul and packed in the audacious and inspiring life I have always been journeying toward. What a happy and beautiful people.

I was asked to go to Basilicata, Italy to participate in a Digital Diary contest for the tourism board to show one of the most untouched parts of Italy...
It won Grand Prize in the competition.

In Dubai Flow Motion you’ll virtually fly into Dubai, first seeing the city from the cockpit of Emirates A380, and then be sharply thrown through the layers of Burj Khalifa, revealing the human activity bustling within. The whole dizzying journey concludes with one last shift of perspective: a skydive where you float above the frightening, but somehow familiar, aerial view of the world’s most mesmerizing cityscape.

ΙΚΑΡΟΣ Daedalus is Act 1 of the Project ΙΚΑΡΟΣ

"For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." Leonardo da Vinci.

Project Icarus is divided in 4 acts, Daedalus, the Winds, the Fall and the Drowning.

Act 1.Ίκαρος / Daedalus
The Winds, the Fall, the drowning
Did Daedalus plan everything ?
Sound by Emmanuel Clédic

There is a woman who walks through the streets randomly singing opera. Wherever she goes she is singing, sometimes under her breath, sometimes loud enough for whole blocks to hear. Some people think she is deranged, some think she is inspiring. I was compelled to sit down with her and have a short conversation about Why. I only had an hour and a half with her, but she struck a cord enough that made me buy a ticket to go see my mom, heh. I decided that I would put this online and hope to inspire people to go embrace their mothers and children. She's also a very prime example of why not to judge people by their eccentricities.

Two great loves combined in to one - Horticulture and Art. Phil created this show which was projected on to the gallery wall at the launch of his new website.  Many of the designs are inspired by actual plant forms and colours which Phil grows in his own garden, designed in a 'new perennial' naturalistic planting style.  New perennial plants are often long-flowering and easy to maintain; many blossom in late summer.  Spent plants are valued for their seed heads, which are left in place over winter for the birds and insects to feed on.  In Spring the 'natural cycle' starts again...

"I'm sorry my lovely Beren, that there was not enough time, for me to tell you more, that I love you"

Inspired by a poem of the same title, a collection of words by Daniel Rowbotham following the loss of his daughter in 2008. When asked about the apparent hidden meanings, he replied:

"I had been guided to write everything down, as my head was in a mess. It was the time when Beren was in the chapel of rest around the corner at the undertakers. I woke with a start, sat up scribbled, crashed back into deep sleep. This happened again not long after, the result is the words printed on the sheet unaltered, unedited. It is remarkable that you have found such fantastic meanings in them."

Produced for Menigitis Research Foundation - UK and dedicated to my niece, Beren Rowbotham, who at the age of ten lost her fight against meningitis (meningococcal septicaemia). The opening title was written by her older sister Cendl.

Met a bunch of amazing Italian strangers in the northern region of Trentino, Italy who took me way up into the Italian alps to go hiking and mountain biking. People have been asking me to make a sports video, so thought it would be fun to try it out! A week of run and gun fun! I feel like I now have a second family deep in the mountains of Italy!

Thank you everyone who guided me through and took me in with welcoming smiles and giving me such a great adventure!

This video documents the building mapping David created for the Mela Festival in Oslo, Norway, and projected onto the facade of the Oslo City Hall (60 x 22 meters) on 15, 16 and 17 August 2014.

Remix Norge depicts the story of modern immigration to Norway (since the 1960s): from initial innocence and good-will to skepticism and discrimination, to the right-wing extremism that culminated with the terror attacks of 22nd July 2011 (at Oslo and Utøya). But it also portrays the successes of integration, where immigrants and first-generation Norwegians are making headways in virtually every area of civil society.

Looking back over your life what determines if you have been successful? An accumulation of wealth? Influential friends? Good health or a loving family? The elements of success are within reach of everyone, rich or poor, east or west and it has little to do with material possessions or social status. The backgrounds for this production were created as hand set hot metal type manually printed onto hand made Italian paper. All photographs taken with Hipstamatic on an Apple iPhone. This production was a wonderful opportunity for Mal to introduce a long time designer friend, Ian Scott, to the beauty and visual poetry of multivision. These words have been wrongly attributed to the American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Official music video for Cold Mailman - "Time is of the essence". This is a shortened version of the song. The original song is available on their critically acclaimed second album "Relax; the mountain will come to you". Nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannspris) for Best Music Video, and winner of Best Music Video at The Norwegian Short Film Festival 2013. Recently directed a Paul McCartney music video.

Nominated for an Emmy at the 2013 50th Annual Emmy Awards!
I wanted to take the prim and proper concert piano and pianists straight off the stage and throw them into the dusty, scary, grimy mess of the factory where these majestic black creatures are born.
I have always wanted to make a video with a piano in it and finally got the chance to make this quick little video! I have always been mesmerized by pianos, even just the look of them. They have always had an ominous quality to them. Their shiny, black skin, and volcanic vibrations inside. I wanted to show the piano the way I saw them...as passionate, living beings that suck the creative life out of anyone who touches them and feeds it into the ears of the listener.
