Audio / Live improvisation performance: Peter#KOMPRIPIOTR#Holzknect (Bolzano)
Architectural projections, photography, vdeo: Alex Rowbotham (Lana)
RESONANTIA explores the soul, the ambience and anatomy of this building using the sounds, coerced and composed live by Peter#KOMPRIPIOTR#Holzknect, and from the defunct remnants of this once very active factory, come images and video by Alex Rowbotham. Surrounded in resonance as we all are from birth to death, where everything reflects back to us through sound and image. Naturally the acoustic sense is strongly connected with the limbic system as visual reflections enter our consciousness. In a sense we are catalysts and are in resonance with our acoustic and visual environments, in all that we encounter.
Zuegg - Lana. Juice and jam factory, now disused and about to be redeveloped.
Near piazza Tribus and MPREIS, Via Bolzano 2, 39011 Lana (BZ)
Open-Air - Free Entrance (voluntary donation)

In the early 90s KOMPRIPIOTR started working with electronic sound-forms and has since then covered the whole spectrum between sound art, actionism and music. His diverse and unconventional performances and installations resemble a dialogue with the unpredictable and combine so-called “sound accidents” with improvisation and spontaneity, generally aleatoric. KOMPRIPIOTR aims at composing and deconstructing on multiple levels. His experiments illustrate the physical power of sound and the geometry of harmonic spaces in nature by creating a multidimensional matrix where threads of delicate fragments emerge and intertwine with raw sounds according to natural logic. The colour of sound... synaesthesia and ample space for coincidence are essential parts of KOMPRIPIOTR’s work. There are no boundaries when it comes to technique; anything will do to produce, extract and manipulate sound – from DIY “circuit bending” instruments to musique concrète and more. This is art that refuses to be pigeonholed. He finds soulful moments from apparently soulless materials. Generally in sound and art the important thing for KOMPRIPIOTR is the process and not the product. It is a kind of ‘Myth-Science’. There is no clear style definition for his abstract/extreme work, he never keeps the same profile in his ongoing searching and experimentation in fluxus mode... Some call him a “perception-artist”. His environment is his atelier.
Alex Rowbotham
Born 1964 near Manchester. Alex is a British artist and freelance designer. He is passionate about projections, whether on a screen or on a building, his specialisms stem from his 25+ years as photographer and multimedia designer.
Since completing his art school education of film, photography and television in the late 80's, Alex has pursued a learning curve of ever-changing methodology and girth of expanding media technology. His primary passion is with the 'third' image created once by over-lapping multiple slide projectors used to create presentations within the audio visual arts and industry. This 'third' eye is now focused upon structures and buildings with cultural heritage. His work has taken him around Europe and the Middle East, travel has been an important part of his inspiration for his personal work and development.
Whilst working in London, Alex found himself drawn to the many media festivals at home and abroad and it was in the early 90's that he first traveled to Italy for the AMV festival in Rieti. Although this no longer exists it put him on the road to many other festivals and picking up awards in USA for interactive interface design of (then new) CDRom media. Perhaps more importantly he has met many like-minded professional artists with whom he collaborates with.
He had several contracts providing art direction and design in Rome and in the Netherlands before deciding to make South Tyrol his home. In 2007 Luce DIpinta was formed, in which he took the roll of creative director, to realize the Painting with Light Festivals. He now lives in Lana with his family.
